To ensure high performance and durability over time, at Rizzotto we use the hot-dip galvanizing process, a fundamental technique for protecting steel from wear and corrosion. This treatment consists of immersing the semi-finished steel in a tank containing molten zinc at around 450°C, allowing the zinc to chemically bind to the surface and create a protective coating.
Galvanizing offers a double defense: passive protection, which isolates the steel from corrosive agents, and active protection, which, thanks to the electrochemical potential difference between zinc and steel, provides cathodic protection against metal deterioration.
We use hot-dip galvanizing on components in direct contact with water, on machined parts of structures exposed to the elements, and on structural elements subject to humidity and corrosive agents.
With hot-dip galvanizing, Rizzotto products maintain efficiency and resistance over the years, even in the most demanding conditions, guaranteeing a very high level of quality.
